General Information
  • Instructed by Laura O'Malley
  • Fall Session is 6 weeks long and starts September 3rd. However, the class is geared to last through June. Subsequent sessions will build upon what has been learned in previous sessions. Dance is an art that takes a long time to master and we highly recommend committing to the year of dance classes (5 sessions). Class is broken into sessions only for the ease of tuition payments.
  • Children in all classes are invited to perform in a Spring Recital. Costume fee ($75) for the recital is due in December.
  • The Dance Program at Sharon Rec is run by Liane Fisher of Fisher Academy of Ballet & Dance. Liane has worked as a dance professor at Dean College, as an artist in residence at Wesleyan University, and has taught at Boston Ballet. She has performed with the Royal Ballet, Boston Ballet, Hartford Ballet, Rhode Island State Ballet, Jose Mateo’s Ballet Theater, Dance Prism, Pioneer Valley Ballet and more. Jessica Murphy, assistant director, has a background in musical theater and dance as well as extensive educational experience. The ballet curriculum is a carefully constructed progression that allows dancers to continually progress in technique while having fun. Levels are available all the way up to professional level and are determined by ability not age. Other dance forms are also offered on a recreational basis.
