Dance: Campers will have the chance to work with their counselors who are experienced dancers. They will teach basic dance movies, stretching skills and technique.
Arts & Crafts: During Arts and Crafts week, campers will participate in artistic activities ranging from small crafts, such as bracelet making and origami, to larger activities, such as tie dye and mural-making.
Drama: *A two week program* Campers will participate in introductory theater activities. They will learn the fundamentals of being on stage thorough singing, dancing and acting. The children will utilize their new skills and participate as actors in a musical to be performed in the evening on July 18th. Musical: WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY!
Improv & Theater Games: Campers will participate in improvisation activities or “acting without a script.” They will create scenes, play games and increase their ability to think on the spot.
Musical Theatre: Campers will learn the foundations of Musical Theatre! Through songs, scenes, and dance, campers will explore the world of Musical Theatre and take away a vast knowledge of what it means to be a good performer.
Camp Massapoag Goals For 2014 - To honor the Camp Massapoag traditions and to create new ones for campers to enjoy for years to come. - To provide a variety of age appropriate programs that meet the interests of the campers. - To offer a positive, fun, safe and social recreational experience for a wide range of youth under the supervision of qualified staff. - To maintain a cooperative atmosphere based on teamwork and values that help boost self-confidence and self-esteem.

10:30-11:00am Snack
11:00-11:30am Free Game (Kid’s Choice!)
11:30am-12:30pm Instructional--Improv Game and discussion of important improv skills
12:30-1:15pm Lunch
1:15-2:15pm Craft and/or Art activity
2:15-3:00pm Improv activity
3:00-3:45pm Active Game (i.e. Sharks and Minnows, Categories)
3:45-4:00pm Sign Out/Pick Up
